Eutectics Fall to Patriots
SPRINGFIELD, MO. – The Eutectic women's volleyball team travelled to Springfield, Mo., on Monday for the team's first competition against the Mission University Patriots as an American Midwest Conference (AMC) member. The Patriots (7-14, 3-5 AMC) won the battle in straight sets: 25-14, 25-22, 25-20.

- After the four-hour drive, the Eutectics were sluggish in the first set, allowing the Patriots a double-digit lead, to start off the match.
- The Eutectics came alive in the second set, recording 13 kills to the Patriot's 10, and claiming a higher attacking percentage, but were unable to outlast the home team.
- Despite an 8-4 lead in the third set, the Eutectics allowed the Patriots to come from behind to snatch the set and clinch the straight-set match win.
- Jenna Brinson collected 25 assists, setting up the Eutectic hitters fairly evenly with Tera Schumacher and Sumanpreet Kaur leading the UHSP attack with seven and six kills, respectively.
- Kiley Dyer and Joleigh Parker each notched two service aces, while MaKenzie Uribe racked up 20 digs. Ava Baggett also reached double figures in digs with 12.

Now 3-17 overall and 3-5 in the Conference, the Eutectics will be back in town Tuesday, Oct. 7, to host St. Louis AMC rival Harris-Stowe State University (7-11, 5-5 AMC) in the UHSP gymnasium at 6 p.m.
