Aguirre named to AMC All-Conference team
Friday morning, the American Midwest Conference announced their All-Conference teams, celebrating the top players throughout the recently concluded regular season. The University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy's Ashton Aguirre was named to the Honorable Mention team.
Aguirre recorded three goals and an assist this year. The senior midfielder tallied a goal and an assist in a three-point contest in an AMC win for the Eutectics against Williams Baptist on Oct. 14. The seven points for Aguirre this year are the most she has scored in a single season in her career and she did it while playing in her fewest games in any season. Aguirre was part of the 19 players selected for the Honorable Mention list. This is the second straight season that Aguirre was named to the AMC All-Conference Honorable Mention team. There were 20 players selected for the First-Team All-Conference.
Lindsay English was named as the Eutectics' representative on the Champions of Character team. Players selected for the Champions of Character team are student-athletes who demonstrate outstanding character. The Champions of Character initiative ensures that student-athletes know, do and value the right things in all areas of life. The five core values: integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship and servant leadership are put into play, accounted for and tracked at all NAIA schools.
