Uphill battle for Eutectics against Missouri Baptist

CREVE COEUR, MO – The Missouri Baptist Spartans remained undefeated in the early part of the season as they had a trio of players score four goals each in a 20-2 win over UHSP. Delaney Pechnik, Skyler Morrissey and Alexis Taylor each found the back of the net four times and Madison Terrell dished out three assists as the Spartans improved to 3-0.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS:

MISSOURI BAPTIST 20, UHSP 2

  • Missouri Baptist wasted no time as they scored twice in the first three minutes and led 7-0 at the end of the first quarter.
  • Sadi Adams got the Eutectics on the board with the final goal of the first half as Missouri Baptist led 13-1 at the half.
  • Michelle Le had the second UHSP goal as she scored off a centering pass from Ella Penke late in the game. Le had three shots on the day.
  • UHSP netminder Brianna Dixon (1-2) made nine saves as she faced 29 shots on the day.
  • Rachel Livak (3-0) picked up the win in the cage for MBU as she made three saves on four shots. Octavia Bookman played the final 17 minutes in net for MoBap and allowed the other UHSP goal.
  • MBU dominated control of the game as they won 15 draw controls to seven for the Eutectics and were successful on all but two of their 12 clearing attempts.
  • The Spartans outshot the Eutectics 33-9 in the match.

NEXT UP:

UHSP (1-2) will return to action for a pair of road games on March 7-8. They will visit Cumberlands at 6:00p on Saturday, March 7 and then meet Tennessee Wesleyan on Sunday at 11:30a. The Eutectics next home game is March 13 against Mount Mercy.
