Bio
Jeff Reis joined the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy staff as head coach of the Eutectic Women’s Basketball Program for the 2020-21 season. He came to UHSP after seven years at the helm of the Lindenwood University – Belleville men’s and women’s basketball programs.
Under his leadership, the Eutectics have broken 12 individual records and two program records:
Most Season Wins (16 and counting) and Most Season Conference Wins (8 and counting). In less than two years, Reis has become the winningest coach in UHSP women's basketball history.
No stranger to winning, Reis was also the winningest coach in women's basketball history at Lindenwood University-Belleville. As head coach of the Lindenwood-Belleville Lady Lynx, Reis’ 2016-17 team set a program record for wins (22) and qualified for the NAIA National Tournament for the first time in program history. Two of his Lady Lynx players became the first NAIA All-Americans in the program’s history, and Reis was named the NAIA Division I Women’s Basketball Coach of the Year, announced by the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association.
Reis’ LUB teams finished with winning records in all seven of his seasons as head coach of the Lady Lynx. He comes to UHSP with 125 wins and 93 losses as a head coach at the collegiate level.
Before taking over as head coach, Reis spent three seasons as assistant coach for the LUB Lynx.
Prior to his time at LUB, Reis was the head girls soccer and basketball coach at Lutheran South High School in St. Louis, Mo., from 2005-2007. He led the basketball team to a third-place finish at the Class 4 State Championships in 2006. Reis also coached the boys’ soccer team from 2006-2007. Before his time at Lutheran South, he served as the head girls’ soccer coach at Lutheran North High School in St. Louis from 2001-2005.
As a student-athlete, Reis completed his collegiate playing career at Webster University finding success on both the basketball and soccer teams. Reis was named the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletics Conference (SLIAC) Basketball Player of the Year in 2000 and 2001, his junior and senior years. In soccer, he was named the 1999 SLIAC Soccer Player of the Year and was selected to the Division III All-Midwest district team in 2000 and 2001. Reis was selected as the Webster University Student Athlete of the Year in 2000, and was inducted into the Webster University Athletic Hall of Fame in 2010. He is also a member of the SLIAC Athletic Hall of Fame.
Reis earned his associate’s degree from Meramec Community College in 1998 and received a bachelor’s degree in business from Webster University in 2001. In 2009, he earned a Master’s in Business Administration, also from Webster.
