Bull claims AMC Player of the Week award for defensive effort
BALLWIN, MO - The American Midwest Conference office announced the Players of the Week for December 15-21 in women's basketball on Monday. UHSP's Aryanna Bull was named the Defensive Player of the Week following a pair of double-digit rebounding performances. Bull is the first Eutectic to be named AMC POW since Grace Beyer claimed the final of the 33 Player of the Week awards in her career on February 12, 2024.
Bull had 11 rebounds against Mission on Dec. 15 and then 12 more against William Woods three days later. She has had double digits in rebounds in three of the last four games. Bull added two steals against the Patriots and a pair of blocks against the Owls. On the season, Bull is the Eutectic's leading rebounder ageraging 8.1 boards per game. She has 11 blocks and 11 steals. On the offensive side, she is the club's second-leading scorer at 10.9 points-per-game shooting a team-best 43.6% from the floor.
UHSP won both games this past week and have won three of the last four with Bull leading the way on defense. The Eutectics play a home conference game against Cottey in their next regular season game on January 6.
In conjunction with Bull's selection, Mission's Ireland Jones was named the Offensive Player of the Week. The Patriots lone game on the week was a 104-98 road loss at UHSP, but Jones poured in a season-high 42 points against the Eutectics.
