The Eutectics traveled the short distance to American Midwest Conference (AMC) rival Harris-Stowe (7-20, 6-16 AMC) today for their season's final game. DaNaiyah Darnell and Reece Halley combined for 38 points in an effort to avenge their 3-point loss to the Hornets last month, but it was not enough. The Hornets doubled up last match-up's deficit to capture a 61-55 win over UHSP.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS:
- DaNaiyah Darnell led the Eutectics offensively with her season-high 21 points, going 10 of 13 from the field, shooting 76.9%.
- Reece Halley picked up her 4th double-double of the season, dropping 17 points and pulling down 11 rebounds.
- Both teams grabbed 50 rebounds, which was a season-high for the Eutectics.
- UHSP outscored HSSU 27-14 in the 4th quarter but could not catch Harris-Stowe, who was led by Toree Jackson's 14 points and 9 rebounds.
The Eutectics wrapped up their first season under Head Coach Markell Cox with a 6-22 season record and a 6-16 AMC record.
