Nine Women's Basketball Players Named Academic All-Conference
The American Midwest Conference has announced a record-nine Eutectic student-athletes have made the 2020 Women's Basketball Academic All-Conference team. The most STLCOP women's basketball players to receive the honor in any previous year since STLCOP joined the AMC in 2014 is seven (2014-15).
The 2020 STLCOP recipients are: Abby Scanzoni (FR/Staunton, Ill.), Allyson Nelson (SO/Park Hills, Mo.), Elizabeth Allanach (FR/Aledo, TX), Gabrielle Morgan (SR/Collinsville, Ill.), Grace Beyer (FR/Eagle, Wisc.), Madelyn Brouwer (JR/Paris, Ill.), Makenzie Schierding (SO/St. Charles, Mo.), Samantha Kasting (FR/Worden, Ill.), and Victoria McDougall (FR/Washington, Ill.). The list includes five freshman, two sophomores, one junior, and one senior (P1).
The STLCOP nine are among 120 women's basketball student-athletes from around the conference named to the list.
To be eligible for Academic All-Conference honors, student-athletes must be in their second semester at their AMC institution, have at least a 3.0 GPA and finish the year on the team.
