Eutectics Sweep Mighty Oaks Behind Clutch Performances on the Road

HENDERSON, KY – UHSP opened Saturday's doubleheader at The Plex with a composed and efficient 5-3 victory over Oakland City. The Eutectics combined timely power at the plate with a complete-game effort in the circle and flawless defense to secure the opener and set the tone for the afternoon. The Eutectics completed the sweep in game two with a 3-2 comeback victory, showcasing resilience and clutch execution late. UHSP recorded 10 hits for the second consecutive game and relied on another complete-game performance in the circle to secure the road sweep and move to 5-3 overall.

UHSP 5, OAKLAND CITY 3

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS:

    •    Alicia Kimble powered the offense with a three-run home run and finished with three RBI.

    •    Hallie Roper led the lineup with a 3-for-4 performance and an RBI.

    •    UHSP totaled 10 hits in the win.

    •    Ryleigh Davidson added an RBI to provide late insurance.

    •    Trysten Murphy earned a complete-game victory, allowing three earned runs over 7.0 innings. She threw 107 pitches and limited Oakland City to one walk.

UHSP 3, OAKLAND CITY 2

GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS:

    •    Mackenzie Nelson went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the offense.

    •    Alicia Kimble collected two hits, drove in a run and added a stolen base.

    •    Eva Kameoka delivered the game-tying RBI double in the seventh inning.

    •    UHSP plated two runs in the final frame to seal the comeback.

    •    Anna Lucas threw a complete game, allowing two runs on five hits across 7.0 innings. She faced 28 batters and struck out two in the victory.

    •    UHSP finished the day with 20 combined hits across the doubleheader.

UHSP returns to action on Saturday, Feb. 21, traveling to Dayton, Tennessee, for a doubleheader against the Bryan College. First pitch is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
