Dantas joined the UHSP staff as an assistant coach in 2025. He was formally as assistant coach at Newman University (NCAA DII) in 2024 where he helped lead the Jets to a season in which they set a new program record for most wins in a single season, more goals scored and for the first time in the history of Newman Men’s Soccer a trip to the conference tournament.

Prior to his coaching career, Dantas played for a season at Murray State in 2019, two seasons at Cowley College (2020-2022) and his final season at Western Illinois University (2022). His most notable seasons were during his time at Cowley where he was named first team All-Conference twice, All-Region, Defensive Player of the Year, led the Tigers to two conference titles, a region championship and a national championship appearance.
