Walker Named AMC Defensive Player of the Week

ST. LOUIS, MO. – The American Midwest Conference (AMC) has announced UHSP junior forward Brennen Walker as the Conference selection for men's basketball Defensive Player of the Week for Jan. 19-25, 2026.

In the Eutectics' only matchup last week, Thursday's 103-99 home AMC loss to Harris-Stowe State University, Walker notched his first double double in a Eutectic uniform with 25 points and 13 rebounds, knocking down three blocks, and adding a steal and an assist.

Walker was unstoppable under the basket, converting 10 of 12 field goals and sinking five free throws for a season high of 25 points. His 13 rebounds (nine offensive and four defensive) and three blocks led all players in the game.

Walker is the first Eutectic player to be recognized with Conference player of the week honors so far this season. He joins seven Eutectics from previous years who have received the award.
