Jas Suvalija joins exclusive UHSP group

UHSP's Jas Suvalija was named the American Midwest Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week on Monday for the week of November 13-19.

Over that span, the Eutectics played both Principia College and Brescia University. Suvalija averaged 17.5 points-per-game and five rebounds in those two contests. He was 11-for-26 from the floor for the week of 7-of-8 from the foul line. Against the Brescia Bearcats, Suvalija dumped in 20 points while connecting on four of his nine three-points shots. He also averaged 2.5 assists over the two games.

Suvalija becomes just the third Eutectic to ever win AMC Player of the Week honors in Men's Basketball after both Mason Ballay and Jason Udolisa landed the award last year.
