UHSP named NAIA 2023-24 Champions of Character Five-Star Institution

ST. LOUIS, MO - The University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy was one of 209 NAIA schools to be named a Champions of Character Five-Star Institution in 2023-24, taking Silver recognition.

Institutions are measured on a demonstrated commitment to Champions of Character and earn points in character training, conduct in competition, academic focus, character recognition and character promotion. Institutions earned points based on exceptional student-athlete grade point averages and by having minimal to no ejections during competition throughout the course of the academic year. Schools scoring at least 60 out of 100 points earn the Champions of Character Five-Star Institution Award.

"It is always an honor for UHSP to be named a Champions of Character Five-Star institution", said UHSP Men's Basketball Head Coach Danny Brown, who is the Eutectics' Champions of Character liason for the institution. "As an athletic program our student-athletes and coaches are consistently living out the core values that help us qualify for such recognition. This recognition is really just a reflection of the type of people walking around this campus".

UHSP was one of 63 institutions to land a Silver recognition with Columbia College the only other school in the American Midwest Conference to earn the Five-Star Silver award. The AMC as a whole was one of 20 different conferences across the NAIA to be named a Champions of Character Five-Star Conference.
