After leading the Eutectic women’s basketball team in Total Points, 3-Pt. Field Goals, Steals, and Free Throw Percentage her freshman year, Emi earned the team “Newcomer of the Year” award for 2012-13. From that point forward, her game continued to accelerate, including multiple team MVP awards, culminating as she became the first STLCOP women’s basketball player in history to score more than 1,000 career points (1114). She earned American Midwest Conference (AMC) All-Conference Honorable Mention honors in 2015-16, her final season of eligibility, the first STLCOP women’s basketball player to be recognized by the AMC. For her efforts and accomplishments, the STLCOP athletics department named her the 2016 “Athlete of the Year.”
Emi holds seven STLCOP records: Career 3-Pt. Field Goals Made, Career Free Throw Percentage, Single Season Free Throw Percentage, Single Game Points, Single Game Field Goals Made, Single Game 3-Pt. Field Goals Made, and Single Game 3-Pt. Field Goals Attempted. She finished the 2015-16 season with the AMC’s highest Free Throw Percentage, ranking second in the NAIA Division I, averaging 90% from the line.
In addition to her success on the court, Emi was twice named AMC Academic All-Conference, and graduated Cum Laude with a PharmD in 2018. After her eligibility ran out, she continued on with the women’s basketball program as student assistant coach during her remaining two years as a student, then returned as a volunteer assistant coach in 2018-19.
