Lauren (Wright) Dickman
Softball, 2016-2021
Eutectics Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2024
Lauren (Wright) Dickman joined the 2016-17 STLCOP Softball team as an outfielder from Highland, Ill., and led the team in RBIs, slugging percentage and on-base percentage to earn Freshman of the Year honors for the team. After turning some heads in the American Midwest Conference (AMC) her sophomore season, she became the first Eutectic athlete to earn First-Team All-Conference honors in softball. She locked down the STLCOP Team Offensive Player of the Year title and maintained the role of Team Captain for her final three seasons. With her Second-Team All-Conference awards in 2019 and 2021 (returning after the 2020 COVID season cancellation), she remains the only athlete in Eutectic softball history to earn All-Conference honors for three seasons.
At the end of her senior season, Lauren was ranked 10th in the NAIA for Triples per Game and had a career Batting Average of .361 to go along with her 164 career putouts. At the time of her 2024 Hall of Fame induction, she continues to hold 13 school records, including Career Hits (147), Doubles (31), Triples (14), Runs (83), RBIs (71), Slugging Percentage (.580), At-Bats (407), and Walks (41), along with Single-Season Slugging Percentage (.670), Doubles (12), RBIs (27), Single-Game Triples (3) and Total Bases (9).
In addition to her stellar athletic performances, Lauren also excelled in the classroom and community leadership. In 2021, she was named the recipient of the Dr. Leroy Walker Champions of Character Award for the AMC, an award which recognizes one female student-athlete selected from all sports sponsored by the Conference who demonstrates outstanding academic achievement, campus and community leadership, athletic achievement, and future ambition. Lauren is also a three-time Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete award recipient and a five-time AMC Academic All-Conference honoree. She continues to give back to the community as a clinical pharmacist and community volunteer.
